What It's Like to Have a 2 year old and a 4 year old Boys

I have been a mom for almost 5 years now. Dylan will be turning 5 this February while Mason is turning 3 in June.

As I journey through this path called motherhood, here are the things that I have learned having to take care a 4 year old and a 2 year old.

1. At this age, they are very explorative and wants to test their abilities, so they will always go up anywhere they can climb and try if they will be able to jump from there. At first they always give me mini heart attacks, I try to stop them from doing it, but they just can't be stopped. I just let them try and I just make sure they are safe and remind them to just be careful with what they are doing. We already had one trip to the ER, nothing serious though, just wanted to make sure that everything is ok the time - will make another entry for what made us go to the ER. 😅

2. 2 year olds are super cute. Everything that they do are cute - I cannot seem to be mad at 2 years old even though they ruin everything, throw food, spill water/juice, they are just always so messy, but cute. 4 year olds on the other hand, copies these 2 year olds and try to be cuter. They are cute on their own way but they want to be as cute as 2 year olds. And yes, my boys are like that - Dylan always wants to copy Mason and Mason always wants to copy Dylan as well. So what now? 😑

3. They are very sweet, they always wants to cuddle and hug to the point that you wish you will have your own body back. I cannot sleep on my own, I cannot eat on my own, they always want to be with me. Personal space is just a thing in the past. I know this won't last long, so I always try to savor it, but sometimes it's just too much. 😕

This are just some of the things that happens most of the time, there are still a lot of things I wasn't able to discuss. Will write a part 2 for this soon. 💕

Love,

Karla
