Date Ideas for Moms and Dads of a Preschooler and a Toddler

 It is hard to find time for your spouse when you have little kids that always want to tag along when you go out, but that should not stop you from taking your spouse out on a date every once in a while. 

My husband and I agreed that we should go out together every week to spend time together and talk about us, set our goals, check what we have achieved so far, politics, other people (maritessing 😜), sports, travel goals, travel plans, the Philippines' infrastructures among many other topics that we may think of. 

So far, we have been true to our words for each other on this aspect. Here are some of the things that we do when we go out together.

1. Dinner Date. This is the most common activity that we do everytime we go out, this way we can talk properly without anyone interrupting us every minute. We can hear each other properly and we can think properly and address the things that need to be addressed be it work-related, house-related, family-related, etc. It doesn't have to be in a fancy restaurant, we just choose whatever our taste buds are craving. 

2. Grocery Run Date. We sometimes bring our kids to the grocery when we want them to enjoy choosing what food they like. We considered this a date because it is both fun for us and we find it relaxing as well. My husband is now the expert in grocery and market day, he knows what meat (chicken and beef) to get, what part and all. 😆

3. Driving Around to Look for Houses. We love looking for house and lots, it makes us strive and dream more as we see different kinds and designs that we would like for our future home. Also, we are in the business of real estate so we hit 2 birds in one stone, we get to find for sale and for rent properties around our area and have time together. 

4. Movie/Series Night. We love watching series and movies. We do this when the kids are already asleep, so we can watch something aside from Blippi, Mickey Mouse, and Power Rangers. 😂 Best of all, we do not have to spend (extra) on anything.
